If you are new to this site, I would like to start by thanking you for checking out my blog. My goal for this site is to help you realize your full potential. I am not an expert, a guru, or anything like that; I am just a man sharing his experiences while trying to realize my own potential.
What is a beast?
We all know beasts in our own lives. People like Michael Jordan, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, and Michael Jackson come to mind; names synonymous with greatness. But beasts come in all shapes and sizes, they are teachers, doctors, freedom fighters, and parents. Those who strive to be the best versions of themselves, day in and day out, are what I call beasts. This is a quest that can last a lifetime, but as some may celebrate the destination, I want to give light to the journey. Everybody knows Michael Jordan, but do we know what it took for him to get to his level of excellence? He wasn’t born into greatness or privilege and he definitely didn’t wake up one day with all his talent. He had to work at it and he had to work for it. This site is designed to be a resource to help you tap into your greatness.
Wizard of Oz
A few years ago, I was sitting in a cubicle doing a job I hated. As I stared out the window, I began to daydream of the life I want to live. I texted my friend a simple but life changing text that read, “does your life ever feel like the Wizard of Oz before they switch to color?” My friend replied, “all the time.” So I decided to do something about it.
Does your life ever feel that way? Remember how miserable Dorothy’s life appeared to be in Kansas? When she got to Oz, it was beautiful, there was singing and dancing, she had friends and she had a purpose. There was excitement and adventure. Now you might be saying that the remainder of the movie was about Dorothy desperately trying to return to Kansas. With that being said, there is something that you are missing. Dorothy changed. Her journey transformed her. Her perspective on who she is and what she is capable of is different. Even in the black and white of Oz, Dorothy returned home brand new. Life is meant to be lived in color.
Beasts are bred not born
No matter where you are or where you come from, you have the potential to be the best version of yourself. It won’t happen by accident. It will come from intentional living. I challenge you to go on this journey of self-discovery with me. Perfection is a habit and our actions will determine the life we have. I can’t promise you perfection, but I can promise you that you will get closer to realizing your full potential and in the process discover the life you were made for. If you are sick and tired of being sick and tired and demand a better life, you must understand that more of yourself will be required. You will have to become beast.
Most people live their life as just a human being. Being by definition means to simply exist. The problem lies in that we were not born just to exist. I think you inherently know this and that is why you are here. Whether intentionally or subconsciously, you are searching for something more. The reason we have different fingerprints is because we were made to be different. Following a cookie cutter, draw in the lines model, won’t get us any closer to realizing our full potential.
My thoughts on the future of this site can pale in comparison to what this site can become. The conversations amongst the becoming beast community, along with your help, can exponentially elevate the future of Becoming Beast. Much like you and I, the more we realize our potential, the greater we can be and the same goes for this site.
